New Products Added Case Study
Extending the Walnut Brand
With a new product suite needing to be positioned independently and as part of Walnut Advisory as a whole, these new products needed to both work within the Walnut Advisory brand and have their own unique brand. With key elements of the Walnut Advisory brand carried forward, a unique look and feel was developed for the Business Owners policy that also worked with the Walnut Advisory look and feel.
Within the development of the creative for the new product, a logomark, graphic elements, graphic lockups, color platte, typography palette, and layouts were developed, with these elements complimenting and extending the existing Walnut creative. With existing, refined, and essential elements of the Walnut Advisory brand carried into the creative for this new brand, the connection was seamless, enabling the Business Owners Policy to both work as a standalone product and within the Walnut brand.
Within the creative development, a new color and typography palette were created for the brand, with the colors and typefaces working with the existing Walnut brand palettes. Existing elements of the Walnut brand were also refined and evolved, including the messaging elements, and elements of the copywriting.
Using the approach in the visual development of the product brand, the writing and messaging worked with and extended the Walnut brand, incorporating elements into the copywriting for the Business Owners Policy brand, with the new writing also extending the overall Walnut brand.
This seamless execution and connection between the new brand and existing brand was only possible because the architecture for the Walnut Advisory brand is flexible, enabling additions, changes, and reorganization to be easily incorporated and executed. The creative execution in brand development simultaneously built the Business Owners Policy brand and extended the Walnut Advisory brand at the same time.

Summary A New Brand
Because the new brand had to be independent and part of the existing Walnut Advisory brand, new elements of messaging and visuals needed to be developed, and work with the existing brand, and existing Walnut creative needed to work with the new brand. This was accomplished through building on the existing brand elements like color, typography, and design.
